Community Partners

More than a historical repository, the Robinson Archive Initiative operates as a living archive that connects past and present struggles, encouraging new forms of engagement through creative, participatory, and collaborative processes. Our work is guided by three pillars—accessibility, activation, and archival partnerships—that critically engage the Robinsons’ legacy and support politically aligned organizations to digitize collections and develop pedagogical tools.

We will share more detail about our ongoing community partnerships soon!

Visiting Researchers

The Robinson Archive Project also supports visiting scholars and researchers seeking to conduct research in the Cedric J. and Elizabeth P. Robinson Archives at UCSB through the Robinson Archive Visiting Scholar Fellowship. This fellowship aims to provide an opportunity for graduate students, independent researchers, artists, community organizers, and the like to conduct research in the archive and activate the vision of the Black radical tradition through their work.
